Do you remember the Weathervane Rooster?

Weathervane Window Inc. of Brighton, Michigan went out of business in June of 1999 after over 30 years of production. Lauren Windows of Cambridge Ohio continued to produce Weathervane Windows with  subtle differences shortly after Weathervane of Brighton closed its doors. Lauren windows ceased manufacturing the windows in 2004. 

Just Windows & Doors continues to do the largest service and replacement of Weathervane Windows in Michigan. This is due in part to having Weathervane Window's head service technician now working with Just Windows & Doors. Those 14 years of service experience with the Weathervane Window Company are a valuable resource we now make available to you the home owner in repairing or replacing your Weathervane Windows.

One of our many service calls  for Weathervane Windows relates to water leaks from the lower corners of the trim casings behind the drywall (see photo below)

Just Windows & Doors can repair your window leakage if the interior structure of the window frame has not deteriorated. (This repair should be done at the first signs of water infiltration to eliminate the possibility of harmful mold developing.) If a window replacement is necessary we can retro fit a replacement wood or aluminum clad wood or vinyl clad wood window to exactly fit the opening of your Weathervane Window.

Also seal failures, (moisture between the glass) is another often occurring problem with Weathervane Windows and this cannot be repaired. The glass needs to be replaced and that is a service that we can do for you. We can even upgrade your standard glass to the high efficient Low-E glass for maximum thermal value.

Wood rot may be evident to your Weathervane Windows and Just Windows & Doors now manufactures wood frame components and replacement sash. Our replacement sash can be ordered with factory primed or natural exteriors!
