Tinted glass works to reduce heat transfer
by filtering out ultraviolet light radiation. Tinting
can also reduce the amount of light transmitted. Primarily
used in warm climates, or windows with southern exposures,
tints can be combined with Low-E
for maximum energy efficiency.
With these tints there is no need to have an after-market
film tint applied. Most window manufacturers will void
their warrantees if film tint is appied to the glass.
If window film is desired we recommend contacting the
window manufacturer or the insulated glass manufacturer
and ask them of their policies.
